Responsibility Policies for Visitor/Customer Privacy
Equentity LLC is a strong believer in the preservation of its visitors' privacy. There are times when visitors will be asked to share personal information with us, such as to sign up to receive our newsletter, to contact us with an inquiry or to log into private areas of Equentity.com. In addition to general contact information, there may be times when visitors will be requested to supply us with basic demographic information, such as to set up a profile in an advanced login system or in response to a survey/questionaire.
In all cases where personal information is communicated to us, Equentity LLC will not share this information with any third party, except at the explicit request of the visitor or after being given written permission by the visitor should Equentity LLC deem it necessary that information be shared. Please note Equentity LLC will comply with any legal investigations in which information is requested by authorities, so long as it is requested through proper formal procedures (typically a subpoena).
Legitimate Correspondences
Equentity LLC maintains mailing lists containing contact information for customers and interested parties who have signed up to receive information from us. When someone signs up for our newsletter he or she receives an email to the address specified when subscribing. This email confirms that the address given is correct, that the recipient indeed does wish to receive information in this manner, and a link is provided for someone to unsubscribe should he or she change his or mind, or should the subscription have been made in error. Mailings made to this mailing list are in full compliance with CANSPAM legislation.
There may be times when Equentity LLC will rely on electronic means to contact customers about business-related issues. Typically, recipients of these correspondences will be customers who have demonstrated the need to be kept informed of business happenings, and with whom Equentity LLC has maintained some level of recent contact. These correspondences will contain information such as changes in company policies, alternative contact information should one of the staff be temporarily unavailable, or technical information related to Equentity LLC customer accounts. Customers fitting this description who do not wish to receive business-related emails must make a direct request using the form on our Contact page. It will be assumed customers who opt out of receiving these messages have other means of keeping abreast with pertinent business matters, and the contents of these messages will apply to them fully.
Spam
Equentity LLC will never send out Unsolicited Bulk Email (UBE), better known as spam. If you receive a message purported to originate from an equentity.com address and the message does not fall under Legitimate Correspondences, you should know that the message you have received did not originate from Equentity LLC. Spammers have the ability to make messages appear to originate from various sources. Sometimes the true origins of these messages can be traced, and Equentity LLC will take aggressive action with the cooperation of anyone who reports spam activity to us that appears to come from Equentity LLC.
Please contact us if you are receiving spam messages with our name associated with it. Please provide all email headers when you contact us.
