Equentity LLC is proud to present EqRewards, a customer loyalty program that rewards our hosting customers, simply for being our customers!
Earning EqPoints
Customers can earn EqPoints a few different ways:
-
Every time you pay a hosting-related invoice, your point totals will increase. The greater your investment in our hosting services, the more points you will receive.
- Shared Hosting Customers receive 1 EqPoint for every $10/£5 spent.
- Reseller Hosting Customers receive 1 EqPoint for every $20/£10 spent.
- Dedicated Hosting Customers receive 1 EqPoint for every $40/£20 spent.
-
Every time you pass a calendar milestone, your account is automatically credited a certain amount of EqPoints.
- 12 months: Earn an additional 5 EqPoints for every shared account, 10 EqPoints for every reseller account, 20 EqPoints for every dedicated server.
- Every 6 months thereafter: Earn an additional 5 EqPoints for every shared account, 10 EqPoints for every reseller account, 20 EqPoints for every dedicated server.
-
From time to time, Equentity will give away free EqPoints as part of our promotional efforts. We will post an announcement on our sites anytime there's an opportunity for current customers to earn bonus EqPoints.
Claiming Rewards
Our customers have access to a personalized EqRewards page, which gives real-time EqPoint totals and a number of rewards that can be claimed at any time. This is available to customers via My Equentity. A detailed rewards list may be found there, but here's a brief summary:
- Free Hosting Vouchers: Customers may apply as many points as they wish to their hosting charges on a 1:1 EqPoint:$/£ basis.
- Gift Certificates: Customers may choose from a variety of gift cards from major retailers, restaurants and online stores. The vendor list will be updated on a regular basis, but will contain stores such as Amazon.com, Old Navy, Home Depot, Office Max, Best Buy, Olive Garden, Longhorn Steakhouse, Macaroni Grille, Borders Bookstores, eBay.com, ThinkGeek.com and more. Gift cards are awarded on a 1:1 EqPoint:$/£ basis.
- Equentity Store: Customers may select from a variety of fun Equentity merchandise, including t-shirts, golf shirts, beer steins, wall clocks, messenger bags, aprons and more. Merchandise is "purchased" on a 1:2 EqPoint:$/£ basis
- Donate EqPoints to Charity: Equentity LLC will make a donation to the charity of your choice, in your name or anonymously,
- Executive Rewards: Customers who have accumulated 500 EqPoints or more are eligible for our Executive EqRewards program. Customers will have the opportunity to spend EqPoints on large ticket items, such as dress watches, writing instruments and jewelry, fine artwork and even airline tickets and vacation packages!
Accumulating EqPoints
EqPoints may take a little time to accumulate, but you'll be surprised at how many you have to spend after you've been a customer for a little while. Here's a sample scenario:
Joe Smith has been an Equentity hosting customer for the past 18 months. He opened two shared hosting accounts during a promotion, and he's just now getting around to spending some of his points. Here's where he stands:
Promotional EqPoints: Joe earned 10 points for each account he signed up initially.
Payment EqPoints: Joe's accounts cost $9.95 and $15.95, earning him 46 EqPoints.
Longevity EqPoints: Joe earned 5 EqPoints per account at the 12 and 18 month marks.
TOTAL POINTS: Joe has earned 86 EqPoints so far, enough to buy him three months of FREE hosting, with 8 points to spare!
Here's another scenario.
Jane Smith is happily running three servers purchased through Equentity for her SaaS-based business. She's been a customer for two years now, and she's ready to cash in her EqPoints. Her servers run $270, $300 and $385 each per month, all of which she had provisioned during a promotional period.
Promotional EqPoints: Jane earned 120 EqPoints just for signing up.
Payment EqPoints: Jane's monthly bill has earned her 573 EqPoints.
Longevity EqPoints: Jane earned 180 EqPoints total at 12/18/24 month marks.
TOTAL POINTS: Jane has earned 873 EqPoints so far. She just treated herself to an eight day/seven night vacation in Cancun, and converted her remaining 120 EqPoints into a $120 donation to her favorite charity.
The best part is that the points accumulate automatically. All you have to do is to be a customer, and you'll end up with points to spend!
Restrictions and Provisions
There are a few restrictions in place in order to prevent abuse of the EqRewards system:
- Customers are not eligible to cash in EqPoints until they've been with Equentity LLC for at least six months. This is regardless of whether or not they've paid in monthly or in advance. Six month begins with the first full month invoice.
- All EqPoints for all hosting services purchased will be available to customers so long as they have at least one hosting service through Equentity LLC. If a customer terminates all accounts, any unspent EqPoints will be lost. If a customer cancels a service but still has at least one other service running, EqPoints from the canceled service will be available to spend.
- EqPoints are forfeited on any individual hosting service that is canceled prior to six full months of payments.
- EqPoints have no cash value and are non-transferable. Multiple customers may not pool points for greater rewards. Customers may transfer purchased rewards to other customers, however! For example, a hosting voucher purchased using EqPoints may be given to another customer, but EqPoints themselves may not.
- Customers who are delinquent with payments will have EqRewards privileges suspended until all accounts are brought current. In the event an individual service is terminated by Equentity in accordance with our customer policies, points associated with that service will be forfeited.
- Equentity LLC may amend EqRewards program terms at any time, without prior notice and with immediate effect.
Hey, if we're going to run a program like this, we need to make sure we're protected too!
