A subdomain is an independent Web site URL, based off of an existing domain name. For instance, your primary site URL might be www.example.com, and a subdomain might be myname.example.com.
Each subdomain is treated as its own Web site; this is how it is presented by the server and how your visitors will interpret your URL, including search engines!
